Within the project \u201cTowards European Values \u2013 Persons with Disabilities as Equal Citizens two project activities have been held in the past period. The first one was realized in the period 22 \u2013 24 April 2016, and the second one in the period 27 \u2013 29 May 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The implementation of the 5th project activity, workshop\/training entitled \u201cWork engagement Program for persons with disabilities\u201d, within project \u201cTowards European values \u2013 people with disabilities as equal citizens\u201d, was realized from 22 \u2013 24 of April 2016 in Novi Sad, Serbia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-day training on work engagement for persons with disabilities, consisted of the following topics:
\u2013 Professional rehabilitation and Work engagement for persons with disabilities;
\u2013 Support to work engagement of persons with disabilities;
\u2013 Adaptation of working space and accessibility with use of assistive technology;
\u2013 Demonstration of adapted working space;
\u2013 Work engagement program \u2013 example of good practice of School \u201c11. May\u201d from Jagodina, Serbia;
\u2013 Practical work in bakery \u2013 School \u201c11. May\u201d Jagodina, Serbia;
\u2013 National experiences in professional training of persons with disability;
\u2013 Employment of persons with disabilities;
\u2013 Presentation of \u0160OSO work center (agricultural workshops, example of international cooperation, Paper recycling workshop);
\u2013 National experiences \u2013 socially responsible work within process of support to persons with disabilities;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training\/workshop was jointly attended by professionals and beneficiaries \u2013 persons with disabilities. Representatives from PORAKA were Viktor Borizovski I Kristina Dalova (engaged persons in the day center \u2013 PORAKA Skopje) and Nikola Ognenovski and Zaklina Velkovska, beneficiaries at the day center \u2013 PORAKA Skopje.
The work was organized trough presentations, exchange of practical experiences and workshops, also as trough work in small groups, either for both beneficiaries and experts, either especially adjusted for beneficiaries in accordance with the subject.
The aim of the training was to introduce good practices and improve employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, often deprived of legal capacity and excluded from the open labor market. The program is based on a piloted, tested and approved program of work engagement by project partner from Serbia, which is accredited by the Republic Institute for Social Protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The implementation of 6th project activity \u2013 training named \u201cDebate on social entrepreneurship\u201d, was organized in the period 27 \u2013 29 May 2016 in Ohrid, Macedonia. The Republic center for Support of persons with Intellectual Disability \u2013 PORAKA was the organizer and host of this project activity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-day training related to development of social entrepreneurship consisted of the following topics:
\u2013 Introduction to Social Enterprise;
\u2013 Social entrepreneurship in Serbia and EU, the state, legal frameworks and examples;
\u2013 Examples from practice;
\u2013 Social entrepreneurship, Experiences from Macedonia;
\u2013 Development of social enterprises;
\u2013 Experiences through different examples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work was organized trough presentations, and picturesque presentations trough schemes and steps in planning and realization of production with a view to profit, but also the social mission of these enterprises. The training also encouraged discussion related to legislation in this area and opened a lot of ideas for the development of social entrepreneurship.
The aim of the training was to inform and empower participants to develop social entrepreneurship (pooling and use of sustainable business models) as well as the possibilities of working engagement and employment of persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups.
Representatives from PORAKA were: Violeta Dimoska, Secretary General; Vasilka Dimoska Program Manager; Vlado Krstovski, Program Assistant and Victor Borizovski, engaged person in the day center \u2013 PORAKA Skopje.
The last day of the training was also used to make agreements and agreements regarding the next project activity that is scheduled for the beginning of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project \u201cTowards European Values \u2013 Persons with Disabilities as Equal Citizens\u201d lasts one year and is funded by the EU through the program \u201cEurope for Citizens\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
