The Center for Support of Persons with Intellectual Disability \u2013 PORAKA Skopje, in cooperation with The Republic Center for Support of Persons with Intellectual Disability \u2013 PORAKA, in the past period held five workshops from the E-learning Course within the international project \u201cDisability Leaders of Tomorrow\u201d of EASPD \u2013 European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disability. This project has the goal to strengthen the capacity of service providers for persons with disability in promoting and coordinating real and sustainable change in service delivery in 15 Central and Eastern European countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Macedonia, participants on the workshops were candidates from 15 different organizations \u2013 service providers for persons with disability, who took part in an intensive training course in order to gain adequate knowledge and experiences regarding the news, challenges and possibilities for advancing the whole process of service provision for persons with disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the five workshops discussed a separate module from the E-learning Courses:
\u2022 Module 1 \u201cHuman Rights and Services for Persons with Disability: The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the European Legal Context\u201d
\u2022 Module 2 \u201cDevelopment of Social Services and Policies in Europe\u201d
\u2022 Module 3 \u201cPlanning Inclusive Communities\u201d
\u2022 Module 4 \u201cDevelopment of Quality Disability Services\u201d
\u2022 Module 5 \u201cTowards Personalized Services\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In interactive atmosphere at the workshops, apart from new knowledge, the candidates had the opportunity to discuss and share their experiences, and also to jointly prepare assignments \u2013 essays for each of the modules. Moreover, each of the candidates underwent additional five, i.e., in total ten modules at the online platform www.dlot.eu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training cycle in Macedonia has been conducted by Vasilka Dimoska, MD, from the Republic Center \u2013 PORAKA (mentor in the first training phase) and Vlado Krstovski from PORAKA Skopje (candidate in the first training phase and mentor in the second training phase).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disability Leaders of Tomorrow Project is implemented by EASPD \u2013 European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disability, and the Republic Center \u2013 PORAKA is partner organization in Macedonia.
