One of the main principles in the work of the Republic Centre – PORAKA is inclusion of persons with intellectual disability in every aspect of living and respect of self-determination, decision-making by persons with intellectual disability and their families.
In order, to make own decisions concerning their life, persons with intellectual disability and their families need to be well and properly informed of all legal possibilities that are available for them. Therefore, the Republic Centre – PORAKA prepared and published easy-to-read version of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Macedonian language.
The brochure is designed for persons with intellectual disability to get acquainted with the contents of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in a simplified, easy-to-read way and with help of illustrations. Additionally, it is intended for all persons who are unable to understand the provisions in the UN Convention, which may be incomprehensible and too complex for them.
This easy-to-read version of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities will enable as many persons with intellectual disability to become familiar with the rights provided in the Convention in a prompt and understandable way.
