The Republic Center for Support of persons with Intellectual Disability – PORAKA is civil, parents, national non for profit disability organization, which represents the rights and interests of more than 20.000 persons with intellectual disability in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Together we are building an architecture of inclusion! 30 years ago, the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities was founded. Six organisations came together with one vision and a lot of determination.
The activities in the Day Centre of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Radovis have been regularly implemented in the past period. At the end of March, cooperation with the camp “Bozilak”, a civic initiative that provides support to persons with disabilities and their families, was implemented for the first time.
One of the most important postulates of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is the right of persons with disabilities to live independently, with access to quality services to support them in their daily lives, and inclusion in all segments of the community.
