The Centre for Support of Persons with Intellectual Disability – PORAKA Bitola organized an event “We are all the same beneath the sky” at 12 May 2018 in cooperation with the International Slavic University “G.R.Deвrzavin” and the association Civitas from Stip. Participants on this event were beneficiaries of the social clubs from PORAKA Bitola, PORAKA Stip and PORAKA Prilep, as well as students from the school Koco Racin from Bitola.
The event was divided in two parts. During the first part there was a workshop organized by the professors, assistants and students from the Faculty for Psychology at the International Slavic University “G.R.Derzavin”. Together persons with intellectual disability they all made different handicrafts. The second part of the event was an exhibition of art works in Arabic technique made by Verce Andonova, member of PORAKA Stip. Handicrafts from the three social clubs were also exhibited. Local media, primary and secondary schools, representatives from NGOs saw the exhibition.
Members of the three social clubs visited to the ZOO in Bitola and enjoyed the walk and socializing.
The final activity of the event was the visit to the ancient city Heraclea Lyncestis founded by Phillip II of Macedonia. The Museum of Bitola provided a guide who told the history of the rise of this city.
