Theatre Pi realised a multimedia campaign under the moto “Nothing Bothers Me” in the past period, in cooperation with the Republic Centre – PORAKA and its social services in Skopje. The campaign, which was aimed at raising awareness regarding persons with intellectual disability consisted of numerous different activities, amongst which photography workshops, musical and theatre workshop for preparing a performance.
The theatre performance “Nothing scary” is the final part of the campaign “Nothing Bothers Me”. The directors Zlatko Mitreski and Makedonka Ilievska realized theatre workshops with the users of the Day Centres of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Skopje, and at the same time the conducted workshops with pupils from the primary schools “Joakim Krcovski” and “Straso Pindur”. They all performed the actor play. The premiere of the play was on 30th of November 2021 at the Home of Culture in Municipality of Gorce Petrov.
At an invitation of the organizers, on 24th of May 2022, the theatre performance took part in the Amateur Drama Festival DAF – Kocani 2022
The three-member jury of the 59th Festival consisting of: Vladimir Tuliev, Marina Pop-Pankova and Driton Vejseli, awarded the first and Grand Prix award “Vasil Kortosev” as well as the second award for exploring new stage expressive forms and experiment in the theatre, to the play “Nothing Scary”.
“The award for exploring new stage expressive forms and experiment in the theatre, to the play “Nothing Scary”, and the Grand Prix “Vasil Kortosev” is awarded to the performance of the drama text “Nothing Scary” because this play surprised us all, intrigued us all and left us breathless. It offered new stage solutions and experiments that were easily receptive, and the mark it left is deeply ingrained in all of us”, pointed out the actor Vladimir Tuliev, President of the jury committee of DAF.
