The long-term cooperation of the Republic Centre – PORAKA with the Institute of Social Work and Social Policy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje continues with its successful realisation in the past period.
Beginning from March 2024, two first-year students from the Institute of Social Work and Social Policy realised their professional practice at the Day Centre in Aerodrom every Friday in the period for three months. They were actively included in the working activities to gain knowledge and experience for work with persons with intellectual disability as future social workers. The professional practice for the first-year students finished at the end of May 2024.
Additionally, a group of students from the third year at the Institute for Social Work and Social Policy, in May 2024 continued with realisation of the practice at both Day Centres of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Skopje, within the subject “Social work with persons with disability”. The students were included in direct activities with the users in the Day Centres, in order for them to learn about the function of the day centres as important social services and the role of social workers in the implementations of the programme activities in these services. The practice for third year students finished at the end of May 2024.
