Day Centre of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Prilep
The activities of the Day Centre in Prilep were regularly implemented in accordance with the programme for work. On her own initiative, a student from the Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje completed a volunteer internship at the Day Centre, actively participating in daily activities and workshops.
In January, an educational calendar was promoted on the social networks Facebook and Instagram, created through the exchange of ideas with users. Each month was presented in a fun and colourful way, with pictorial symbols that highlight the creativity and participation of the users in its creation. Under the motto "Meet me and discover my strength", posters were created and promoted for each user during February, in order to present them in an interesting way. The posters were also placed in the premises of the Day Centre, with the intention of helping external associates to get to know the users more easily and to establish better communication.
On 13th of February, the users, accompanied by their parents, were part of the inclusive graduation event organized by Night to Shine in Resen. With their uniqueness and positive energy, they shone on the red carpet and further embellished the event. In the same month, the users also attended the entertainment program organized on the occasion of the patron holiday of the Primary School "Jonche Smugreski" from the village of Obrshani. Together with the pupils from the school, they had the opportunity to perform the song "My Macedonia" by David Temelkov. At the end of February, in cooperation with the Association "Prerodba", a workshop for making martinki was held. The users had the opportunity, using appropriate materials and tools, to get acquainted with the technique of knitting martinki. The International Day of Women, 8 March, was marked by making greeting cards and envelopes, through which the users expressed their creativity and attention. Throughout the entire period, the cooperation with the teacher Vera Poposka, who actively contributes to the realization of some of the activities, has been ongoing.
Day Centre of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Radovis
The activities in the Day Centre of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Radovis have been regularly implemented in the past period. At the beginning of 2026, some of the activities were aimed at celebrating the New Year and Christmas holidays. On January 26, in the premises of the Day Centre, and in cooperation with the Bucim Mine, an inclusive workshop dedicated to planting herbs, plant care and environmental education was organized. The workshop was led by Ms. Marija Georgievska, executive director of the Centre for Herbalism, Tourism and Sustainable Development BILKILIFE. The workshop was divided into three parts. In the first part, the users had the opportunity to feel the herbs through touch and smell. In the second part, the users could creatively make a frame of fresh or dried herbs of their own creation and choice of herbs. Also, herbs were planted in small pots in humus soil with a challenge for each user to take care of that pot. In the third part, they had the opportunity to taste various herbal products, such as teas, natural apple juices and cakes. For successful participation in this workshop, the users received certificates of appreciation. A big thank you to the students from the Secondary School "Kosta Susinov" and the volunteers from the Bucim Mine who helped the users by creating an atmosphere of real interaction, empathy and trust. On 30th of January, the users were invited by PHOTO studio Mihailov to a photo session in a New Year's setting. The gathering continued in the newly opened cafe over juice and nice conversation.
At the beginning of February, the Evangelical Church from Veles with Pastor Filip Ivanov came to the Day Centre for the first time and donated food products, with a promise that this cooperation will continue in the future. The donation of food products will allow the users to continue adopting practical possibilities in the kitchen. On February 10, the users of the Day Centre traditionally celebrated the birthday of Mr. Nikolajco Nikolov, former Deputy General Director of the Bucim Mine. In an excellent and pleasant atmosphere, the users were treated to a wonderful lunch, cake and gifts that they will use for their own needs. The users returned the favour with a small, modest and unique gift. On 16th of February, a workshop for making greeting cards for 8 March, was held in the premises of the Day Centre with long-time friends Krasi and Robert Salamanovi. Decoupage technique was used to decorate bottles and decorative paper with flowers to make the greeting cards. On 26th of February, a creative workshop was held to make martinki with volunteers from the Youth Club of the Red Cross from Radovis. The next day, some of the users of the Day Centre, together with their parents, sold the martinki at the Primary School “Nikola Karev”, the Primary School “Krste Petkov Misirkov” and the Secondary School “Kosta Susinov” in Radovis. The users were especially happy to be among the pupils of these schools and to be able to value their work and have funds that they will use for the needs of the Day Centre.
On 9th of March, the management team of the Bucim Mine surprised the girls from the Day Centre and the mothers of the users by giving them beautiful flowers as a sign of attention on the occasion of March 8, Women's Day.
Day Centres of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Skopje
The programme activities in the Day Centres of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Skopje have been regularly implemented in the past period. At the beginning of the year, several activities were implemented in the spirit of the New Year and Christmas holidays. Traditionally, on January 14, the Orthodox New Year, Vasilica, was celebrated in the premises of the Day Centre in Aerodrom. This event was attended by the users of both Day Centres of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Skopje.
On 5th of February, a workshop on the preparation of seedlings from early garden crops was held in the premises of the Day Centre in Kapistec in cooperation with the Day Centre for persons with cerebral palsy. On 13th of February, in the Day Centre in Kapistec, a group of pupils and professionals from the Secondary School "Zdravko Cvetkovski" held a thematic workshop on the occasion of the holidays of St. Trifun and St. Valentine. Making martinki was the topic of the workshop held on 27th of February in the premises of the Day Centre in Aerodrom with pupils and professionals from the Secondary School "Vlado Tasevski".
The International Women's Day was the topic of a workshop held on 4th of March at the Primary School "Lazo Angelovski" in which a group of users from the Day Centre in Aerodrom participated. In this Day Centre, on 6th of March, a joint workshop was also held with pupils from the Primary School "Aleksandar Makedonski" in which posters, greeting cards, flowers and decorations were made in anticipation of Women's Day. On this day, with the same theme, a workshop was held at the Day Centre in Kapistec with pupils and teachers from the Primary School "Jan Amos Komenski". For the needs of the new multimedia performance entitled "Physics of Joy" on 24th and 26th of February, a group of users were photographed in the House of Culture in Gjorce Petrov by a professional photographer, together with the actors from Theatre "Pi".
With the first sunny days on 12th of March, the new gardening season began in the at the Green Ark "Bostanie". A group of users and parents worked on arranging and preparing for spring sowing.
At least once a week, users from both Day Centres of the Republic Centre - PORAKA in Skopje participated in activities for recycling plastic packaging at the "Pakomak" vending machines.
Day Centre of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Shtip
The Day Centre of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Stip has been implementing its programme activities as planned in the past period. The beginning of the year was marked by several visits by associates of the Day Centre. On 2nd of January, representatives of the Evangelical Church in Stip visited the Day Centre and brought packages prepared by children and youth from Germany. On 5th of January, the Euroart Academy traditionally visited the Day Centre and gave the users modest Christmas gifts. The visit also had an educational character, during which the users had the opportunity to hear about Macedonian tradition and folklore. Also, on 5th of January, the company M KESH donated products necessary for the preparation of a Lenten meal on the occasion of Vasilica, a traditional activity in which the users jointly took part. On 8th of January, the Day Centre was visited by the writer Cveta Spasikova. She presented some of her books and read to the users. At the end of the visit, she donated some of her books, which enriched the library of the Day Centre. On 6th of January, the users of the Day Centre of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Stip participated in the Christmas Eve procession, which is traditionally organized in Stip. On Sloboda Square, in the centre of the city, the users, together with the other participants, sang Christmas Eve songs.
At the invitation of the National Library "Goce Delchev" - Stip, the users of the Day Centre participated in the musical performance held on the occasion of the 154th anniversary of the birth of Goce Delchev, which took place in the library premises. On 24th of February, volunteers from the Red Cross Youth Club - Stip visited the Day Centre and together with the users carried out a creative workshop for making martinki. On 27th of February, in cooperation with several fellow citizens from Stip, the users conducted a creative workshop on the occasion of 8th of March.
On 2nd of March, on the occasion of the week of fighting against heart diseases "Healthy life, healthy heart", an activity was held at the Day Centre of the Republic Centre - PORAKA in Stip, organized by volunteers from the Red Cross Youth Club - Stip. Within the framework of this activity, the users had the opportunity to learn about the risk factors that contribute to the occurrence of heart diseases.
Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Bitola
The activities in the Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Bitola at the beginning of the year emphasized the celebration of religious and traditional holidays. For Christmas Eve and Christmas, an educational workshop was held in the premises of the social club with the professor of ethics Mr. Dragi Anastasovski, who told the users about the traditions associated with these holidays. On the occasion of the holidays, the Social Club was also visited by representatives of the VMRO-DPMNE Union of Women, veterans and youth from VMRO – DPMNE, who brought Christmas gifts to the users. During the visit everyone shared experiences from the holidays, and the users also presented the activities that are implemented in the social club. In mid-January, the holiday of Vasilica was celebrated with traditional customs and discussed these traditions associated with the holiday. At the end of January, representatives of the Etno Ilinden dance group visited the social club and introduced the users to traditional Macedonian dances and games. During January, the creation of paintings on canvas began, which the users of the social club will dedicate to the supporters and associates of this social service.
During February, the creation of paintings on canvas continued, an activity that the users enjoy doing. Some of the workshops were also intended for the creation of greeting cards and flowers from different materials on the occasion of 8th of March. During February, an interactive workshop was held to introduce the users of the Social Club to a digital application designed to acquire basic financial management skills. This workshop was led by Ms. Mare Stoimenova, special educator at the Primary School” Kole Kaninski” – Bitola.
Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Vinica
The Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Vinica continued to implement programme activities in the past period. The beginning of the year was marked by activities aimed at the New Year and Christmas holidays. Several workshops related to winter season were also implemented. There were discussions about viruses and bacteria in winter, what diseases they cause, and how with proper nutrition and protection, users can protect themselves. Short texts about winter were read, and drawings were made from various materials on the theme of winter. The users also celebrated 21st of January, the international hugging day. During January, several walks and outdoor activities were also implemented.
During February, several activities related to the holidays celebrated in this month were implemented. For St. Trifun, there was a discussion about grapes as a fruit full of vitamins, what can be prepared from grapes and how to prepare them. There was also a discussion about fermentation as a process that is key to the preparation of wine, brandy, yogurt, sauerkraut, and a practical activity for the preparation of sour milk was carried out. For St. Valentine, various drawings on the theme of love were made. In the second half of February, creative workshops were implemented for making flowers and decorations from various materials on the occasion of 8th of March. Towards the end of February, a workshop was also implemented in which users made martinki. Throughout the entire period, educational social games were also implemented that contribute to stronger connections between users.
Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Gevgelija
The activities of the Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Gevgelija in the new year began with Christmas lunch at the monastery of St. Spas in Gevgelija, and at the invitation and organization of the Gevgelija Hierarchical Vicariate. Members of several organizations of people with disabilities from the municipality of Gevgelija were invited to and attended the lunch. All participants were also given modest gifts on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas holidays. At the beginning of January, the users made and decorated Christmas tree branches from oak wood. Some of the members and their parents participated in the Christmas procession on 6th of January 6, announcing the great Christian holiday of the Nativity of Christ. On the Orthodox New Year, a gathering and traditional sharing of a bread with a coin were organized in the premises of the Social Club.
Several workshops during February were aimed at creating greeting cards and handicrafts from various materials, and for the holidays St. Valentine and 8th of March. Various materials were used such as self-adhesive paper, cardboard, canvas. On 26th of February, for the International Day of People with Rare Diseases, a workshop was held to discuss this topic.
Throughout the entire past period, activities have also been implemented for gaining practical skills, necessary for the independent functioning of each user. Also, during the entire period, joint social activities were implemented.
Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Kavadarci
In the past period, the Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Kavadarci has implemented cognitive-educational activities, practical activities, recreational activities and activities with the families of persons with intellectual disability. At the invitation of the clergy in the church of St. Dimitrija, the users of the Social Club attended a Christmas lunch, and they celebrated the Vasilica in accordance with the traditions. In the period from 20th of January to 25th of January, some of the users of the Social Club participated in the winter camp in the resort "Mihajlovo", an activity that was financially covered by the Mayor of the Municipality of Kavadarci, Mr. Mitko Jancev.
During February, programme activities in the Social Club were regularly implemented, and visits to football matches of FC Tikves were also organized. Throughout the entire past period, the users had the opportunity to implement sports and recreational activities in the sports hall of the Secondary Agricultural Forestry School "Gjorce Petrov" twice a week.
Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Strumica
The Social Club of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Strumica regularly realizes and implements the planned programme activities accompanied by a series of creative workshops. On 9th of January, at the invitation of the owner of the Ethno restaurant “Kaj Viktor”, the users of the Social Club and their parents participated in a forum attended by representatives of other associations, medical centres in the region and several religious communities. During the forum the participants discussed the needs and problems faced by persons with disability in the field of health. On 13th of January, in the premises of the Social Club, a gathering of parents and users was organized for Vasilica, celebrating the holiday with its traditions, and the users had fun singing and dancing in a cheerful atmosphere. On 18th of January, the users attended a concert organized by the “Eleusa” Foundation from Strumica, which was held in the premises of the Municipality of Bosilovo, where the users had the opportunity to listen to Christmas songs.
At the beginning of February, several activities were held to talk about health care in the winter period. Also, creative workshops were held to celebrate the holidays of St. Trifun and St. Valentine. Various handicrafts were made at the workshops, as well as markers/bookmarks on the theme of love. On 14th of February 14, the users of the Social Club, together with volunteers from the Red Cross Youth Club – Strumica, at the GTC “Global” distributed handmade bookmarks and pendants to people at the centre. On 17th of February, at the invitation of the “Blagoj Jankov - Mucheto” Library in Strumica, the users of the Social Club attended the award ceremony on the occasion of the “Wine, Love and the Meaning of Life” competition. The users shared the bookmarks that they had made themselves at the end of the event. At the end of February, users made handicrafts for 8th of March, as well as masks for the carnival traditionally organized in Strumica.
