“The computer makes it easier to learn”

Starting from 01.08.2014, the Center for Support of Persons with Intellectual Disability – PORAKA Strumica began the realization of the project “The Computer makes it easier to learn” funded by Municipality of Strumica. Within the project, a professional was engaged to adapt the computers for work, and additional computer parts were provided, as well as educational games.
The activities include teaching the members with intellectual disability to simple computer operations (turning on and off the computer, working with the mouse and developing the fine motor skills, opening documents in Microsoft Office Word, writing simple texts, drawing simple shapes in Paint etc). Also, educational games are included (games for addition and subtraction within the number 10, introducing geometric shapes, recognizing colours and the terms: up-down, under-above, close-far, left-right, back-forward).
