The Center for Support of Persons with Intellectual Disability – PORAKA Skopje, in cooperation with The Republic Center for Support of Persons with Intellectual Disability – PORAKA, on 30.05.2017 at Hotel Kontinental – Skopje, held the Final event – workshop on future development of the service provider sector, within the international project “Disability Leaders of Tomorrow” of EASPD – European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disability.
The “Disability Leaders of Tomorrow” project had the goal to strengthen the capacity of service providers for persons with disability in promoting and coordinating real and sustainable change in service delivery in 15 Central and Eastern European countries.
In Macedonia, participants on the workshops were candidates from 15 different organizations – service providers for persons with disability, who took part in an intensive training course in order to gain adequate knowledge and experiences regarding the news, challenges and possibilities for advancing the whole process of service provision for persons with disability.
The goal of the final workshop was to present the gained knowledge and the collective assignments, but also to initiate discussion about the need for better cooperation and networking of the service providers in Macedonia.
The final workshop was facilitated by Vasilka Dimoska, MD, from the Republic Center – PORAKA (mentor in the first training phase) and Vlado Krstovski from PORAKA Skopje (candidate in the first training phase and mentor in the second training phase).
