The Republic Center for Support of persons with Intellectual Disability – PORAKA is civil, parents, national non for profit disability organization, which represents the rights and interests of more than 20.000 persons with intellectual disability in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The Centre for Support of Persons with Intellectual Disability- PORAKA Demir Hisar started its activities for observing 3 December, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in October when it announced a competition for art and literary works on the theme “Your support – our bright future” for primary and secondary pupils.
In the spirit of this year’s theme for observing the International Day of People with Disabilities “Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress”, on 2nd of December 2025, the President of the Republic Centre – PORAKA, Mr. Cedomir Trajkovski, and the President of the Commission on the Prevention and Protection against Discrimination, Mr.Dusan Tomsic, signed Memorandum for Cooperation.
For years back, the Republic Centre – PORAKA organizes and holds workshops where the SWOT analyses of the local organizations are being reviewed and discussed. The SWOT analysis is a structured planning method for the future strategies of the organization, and at the same time a very useful tool for assessing the current situation within the organization.
