The Republic Center for Support of persons with Intellectual Disability – PORAKA is civil, parents, national non for profit disability organization, which represents the rights and interests of more than 20.000 persons with intellectual disability in the Republic of North Macedonia.

The cooperation with the Institute for Social Work and Social Policy at the Faculty of Philosophy – Skopje continues to be successfully implemented in the past period. Students from this higher education institution had their practice within “Social work with persons with disability” course at the social services of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in Skopje.
The main demand of the Republic Centre – PORAKA in the area of healthcare in the past 20 years has been for the state to provide free of charge health care, medical treatments and medication for all persons with intellectual disability without limiting the age to 26 years.
